Mary Alberta Cleland
(1876 - 1960)

Born in Montreal, she studied at the school of the Art Association of Montreal under William Brymner. The National Gallery has two paintings by her, one entitled “On the Beach, Notre-Same du Portage” acquired in 1915, the other, a pastel entitled “Study of a Head” acquired in 1921.
