C. Langevin Biography
(1942-2024)
Born in Montreal, Quebec in 1942, Claude Langevin began his education at L’Universite de Montreal in medicine, but abandoned this direction in favour of a career in art. A self-taught artist, he continues to derive great pleasure from his art and has been pursuing this path for over thirty years. He achieves a three-dimensional effect by first applying a white paste to his canvas. His favourite scenes to depict are the landscapes of Quebec and the Maritimes. In particular, he finds inspiration riding his bicycle along the route of the old Laurentian railway to Saint-Adele - his adopted town where he settled decades ago.
