J. Perreault Biography
(1958)
Born in Montreal in 1958, Jeannette Perreault studied drawing and Art History at Université du Québec à Montréal until 1984. She has been represented by Galerie Valentin since 1992. Her oil paintings depict the intimacy of an interior scene or the animated atmosphere of a café. She captures reality with a single gestural line, using the expressive qualities inherent in colour and light to bring these scenes to life.
